. . . an immersive experience in which the audience becomes part of the narrative. It’s about creating a social cinema experience where the audience can connect with each other . . .

The Matrix

2006

A live immersive event fusing film, music & theatre, with a series of curated and new performance installations leading up to the main screening of “The Matrix” and VJ show by The Eclectic Method. Thematic performance installations included a machine that transmitted audience members' brain activity on screen (in the form of short films!) as well as a pod-like 'oculus' allowing shorts to be viewed in a more intimate setting, one person at a time. Created for Future Cinema (now Secret Cinema), an offshoot of independent short film label Future Shorts.
